EF Solare Italia’s strategy is aimed at the aggregation of utility-scale PV plants to maximize performances through an innovative approach based on specialized knowledge, on know-how development and on a managing model based on Digital Energy.
Solar power generation keeps growing both in Italy and in the rest of the world, thanks to the fall of manufacturing and plant maintenance costs and to the increasing diffusion of an environmental sensibility, which keeps the focus on green economy.
On a global scale, solar power generation is experiencing a significant growth: according to REN 21’s Renewables 2018 Global Status Report, in 2017 the new installed capacity reached 98 GW, a 29% raise compared to 2016, more than nuclear, coal and natural gas new installations put together. These numbers are bound to raise: according to the Bloomberg New Energy Outlook 2018 forecasts, investments in new capacity for wind and solar power from here to 2050 will equal 8.4 trillion dollar out of 11.5 trillion dollar dedicated to new electric generation capacity. Thus, a seventeenth-time increase is expected in relation to the solar capacity currently installed. Prices instead will drop: solar power LCOE will fall by 71% by the half of the century.
Regarding Italy, solar power is today an important source of electric generation: according to REN 21, our Country is fifth in the world for installed solar power and fourth for pro-capita solar power. According to the Solar Data Report of GSE, at the end of 2017 in Italy there were 774,014 solar plants, with an installed power of 19,682 MW, a 414 MW increase compared to the end of 2016.
Us of EF Solare Italia are proud to contribute to the energy transition toward clean and renewables sources and for this reason we want to keep playing a first-hand role. Our strategy is aimed at the aggregation of utility-scale plants to maximize performances through an innovative approach based on specialized knowledge, on know-how development and on a managing model based on Digital Energy.
