THE NEW ASSET MANAGEMENT AREA FOR A MORE EFFICIENT PLANT MANAGEMENT

At EF Solare, we believe that the proper management of the assets in our portfolio is crucial to the success of the company. Through the work of our Asset Management team and the continuous improvement of management processes, we are committed to ensuring that our photovoltaic plants perform at their best, maximizing the production of green electricity.

The need for increasingly efficient management of the Group’s plants (there are more than 300 in Italy alone), led EF Solare to reorganize the Asset Management area, headed by Francesco Palmieri. The goal was to develop a new model to optimize internal processes and ensure an increasingly profitable interaction with suppliers and internal and external stakeholders.

The new operating model is in line with the strategy of internalization and industrialization implemented by EF Solare in recent years, pushing the Group to define a rational and scalable structure in each of its areas: a flexible model capable of adapting to different needs and opportunities.

The reshaping of the Asset Management area is part of the broader framework of the redefinition of the entire O&M operating model, where asset management is one of the working parts. This reorganization aims to redefine the processes at the heart of the O&M area and to develop projects transversal to all operational areas (e.g., maintenance contracts), to ensure the effective engagement of operators and minimize the company’s risk share.

The new operating model of the Asset Management area provided for an expansion and redistribution of working groups, in particular the “Commercial Asset Management” area. This has been divided into three different teams, one of which is expected to interface with the internal Maintenance team, and the other two with specific O&M contractors. This partition, compared to others based on regional criteria, makes the interaction with suppliers much more accurate and effective. Moreover, it encourages the development and dissemination of know-how with partners and improves the overall planning of operations.

At the same time, the “Technical Asset Management” area was introduced. This is a specialized team providing support to colleagues on the most technical tasks and focusing on specific projects of extraordinary maintenance or efficiency improvement.

In this way, it was possible to refine the division of tasks and make the most of the skills of all team members to optimize EF Solare’s activities, ensuring more efficient supervision of O&M service providers and timely control of activities on the plants.

Growth always starts with a decision for change. This is why the renovation of our area is an example of the progress made by EF Solare in recent years. To confirm ourselves among the leaders in an ever-changing sector, we must define precise procedures for every daily and extraordinary activity. Our commitment is to manage new installations relying on our deep knowledge of each existing plant. In this way, we will be able to swiftly react to problems and ensure the continuous production of solar energy. We are ready to manage a rapidly growing portfolio of assets resulting from the Group’s expansion plans” commented Francesco Palmieri, Head of Asset Management.
