Diversity And Inclusion Policy

Our commitment to a fairer and more respectful work environment

This year, EF Solare Italia has taken a significant step forward in strengthening its commitment to diversity and inclusion by having its first Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) policy. This document serves as a starting point, outlining the principles and actions through which we aim to create a work environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and has equal opportunities for growth and development. Our commitment does not stop here: diversity and inclusion are fundamental values that extend far beyond drafting the policy. They are an approach that guides all our business processes, from recruitment to talent management, from training to fostering a workplace that promotes well-being and equity.

The core principles and focus areas of EF Solare’s D&I policy

Diversity and inclusion are not just challenges but extraordinary resources. We firmly believe that every individual, with their unique qualities, enriches the way we work and think. Diversity can become a key driver of innovation, continuous improvement, and business success. In line with these values, the core principles of our D&I Policy (italian only) are Respect and Inclusion, Equal Opportunities, Parenting and Work-Life Balance, Training and Development, and Community Engagement. To effectively implement our D&I policies, we commit to developing a series of activities and projects each year to bring these principles to life.

Adherence to the Equal Opportunities Charter: a concrete commitment

In 2024, EF Solare Italia took another significant step toward inclusion by officially joining the Equal Opportunities and Workplace Equality Charter (italian only). This initiative, launched in Italy in 2009 by Fondazione Sodalitas (italian only), is a statement of intent signed by numerous companies committed to promoting inclusive business policies free from discrimination and prejudice. Joining this Charter is not just a formal recognition but a tangible step toward a fairer and more equitable working future. This initiative is part of the European Platform of Diversity Charters promoted by the European Commission to combat workplace discrimination and foster a culture of equal opportunity. Through the Charter, we commit to implementing policies that enhance talent, regardless of gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or other personal characteristics. Moreover, this membership provides access to self-assessment tools that will help us measure our progress and identify targeted actions to continually improve our D&I practices.

Maria Sala, Head of Engagement & Internal Communication“The drafting of our first D&I Policy is a significant milestone for EF Solare Italia, showcasing the progress made over the past year by the company’s People & Organization Department. The “Energia per il Futuro” project, developed throughout 2024, aimed to define and formalize our value proposition as the foundation for providing the necessary tools to address the major challenges the sector and the job market will pose in the coming years. From this work, the foundational values of our company emerged: sustainability, expertise and innovation, attention to people, and integrity. Inclusion, so closely aligned with these values, has always been central to EF Solare Italia. In recent years, we have already initiated several projects and initiatives in this regard (flexible hours, remote working, attention to gender balance, mentorship programs, etc.). For this reason, formalizing a D&I Policy that, in its first version, focuses on aspects of inclusion deeply connected to our DNA is the essential basis for continuing to address this topic with renewed energy and commitment. It is no coincidence that, along with signing the policy, we joined the Sodalitas network by signing the Equal Opportunities Charter to begin a structured and systematic development of these themes,” said Isabella Gastaldello, People and Organization Director, and Maria Sala, Head of Engagement & Internal Communication at EF Solare Italia.
