From March 5-7, 2025, Rimini’s Palacongressi hosted the 18th edition of KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, Europe’s leading energy transition exhibition event. An opportunity to discuss central topics for the energy transition such as agrivoltaics, renewable energy communities, storage systems, hydrogen and new energy policies.
EF Solare Italia took part in two key events:
Andrea Ghiselli, CEO and General Manager of EF Solare Italia, was featured on the panel “Is the energy transition sustainable? The cost-benefits of decarbonization and consumer bills,” curated by ALTHESYS Strategic Consultants. A high-level discussion on the challenges of the transition, including rising energy costs and the need for infrastructure investments for a more efficient and affordable system.
During the conference “Sustainable Agrivoltaics: agrivoltaics, environment and landscape project,” organized by ENEA, Angelo Pignatelli, Head of Engineering at EF Solare Italia, and Antonio Lancellotta, Partner at Le Greenhouse and SET Energie, presented the applied agrivoltaics research project developed in collaboration with ENEA itself. The experimental agrivoltaic plant, located in Scalea (Calabria), integrates elevated photovoltaic panels to ensure the coexistence of energy production and agricultural activities, enhancing the landscape and the local ecosystem. The meeting provided an in-depth look at design solutions and collaboration strategies between the electrical and agricultural worlds necessary to foster the development of agrivoltaics.
