We took part in the conference “Agrivoltaics, more than just energy production”, organized by AIAS – Italian Association for Sustainable Agrivoltaics within the “ZeroEmission Mediterranean 2024” event in Rome.
Luigi Maria Cagnoni, Agri-energy Expert at EF Solare Italia, discussed with Alessandro Marangoni, Mauro Sarrica, Alessandro Schiavone, Valeria Viti and Alessandra Scognamiglio the regulatory, economic and social challenges related to the deployment of agrivoltaic systems in light of the latest developments related to the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
“Dialogue with agricultural partners is crucial for the success of agrivoltaic projects. To boost synergies, it is essential to consider that the activity of the agricultural entrepreneur is dynamic, influenced by variables such as the market, climate, and development policies. Design solutions, therefore, must allow for the proper conduct of agricultural activity throughout the plant’s lifespan, including the necessary crop rotations. Understanding the needs of the agricultural world is key to successful initiatives.”
