“Resilience is the capacity of a system, enterprise or person to maintain its core purpose and integrity in the face of dramatically changed circumstances”
Andrew Zolli
In a moment of darkness, with the arrival of the Covid-19, we wondered how EF Solare Italia could support the fight against the virus and the answer was once again sunlight.
Everyday we provide green energy to the Country, with 300 photovoltaic plants in 17 regions and an installed capacity of more than 850 MW, and our response to the virus is to continue to do so because today, more than ever before, no one lacks electricity.
All the business units are therefore operational and the 80% of EF Solare’s team is in smart working whereas the other employees, involved in fieldwork, are taking all the safety measures required by the Ministerial Decrees. The employees’ great committment in this difficult time and the absolute priority to guarantee their health has led EF Solare to take out a special health insurance on their behalf which covers a potential Covid-19 illness.
The Company’s commitment to fight the Covid-19 finds expression also in a donation to the hospitals of Spallanzani in Rome and Cotugno in Naples where cutting-edge studies are taking place to develop therapies against the virus. These hospital excellences are located in central-southern Italy where EF Solare has a significant presence with its PV plants. EF Solare wanted to give an economic contribution to research with the hope that this could be an additional energy boost for those who are on the front line in the fight against Covid-19.
